School of Seamanship (SOS) is recognized as one of the premier entry level maritime training programs in Texas. In 1996, after 23 years of U.S. Coast Guard service, Mr. Ringrose retired as Acting Director of the USCG Licensing Office in Houston to establish SOS. He holds a USCG Masters license and is recognized by the Coast Guard and Navy as a subject matter expert. The REAL difference between the
OUPV and Masters License!
Don’t be scammed by those training schools and instructors who advertise that you MUST
get the OUPV or 6-pak license BEFORE you can get the Masters license. That may be the
way their programs have been set up to work, but it is NOT
